EP Tech in Gastonia, NC

Perform specialized electrophysiology (EP) imaging procedures within a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital environment that supports advanced cardiovascular care. This contract role is based in Gastonia, NC, offering the opportunity to contribute to a patient-centered team with high technical standards and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations (PFA, radiofrequency, cryo), and Watchman device procedures.
• Support implantable device procedures including pacemaker, defibrillator, biventricular devices, lead extractions, and implantations.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation of pre/post-procedure care.
• Participate in managing conscious sedation and vasoactive medications where applicable.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including VAD, RT, ECMO, and code teams to ensure patient safety.
• Operate and maintain specialized imaging and monitoring equipment such as Philips and GE platforms.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in an EP Lab setting.
• RN applicants must hold current BLS and ACLS certifications; Cardiac Cath Tech applicants require BLS, ACLS and ARRT-R/RCIS certification (RCES preferred).
• Proficiency in EPIC charting, hemodynamic monitoring, and EP lab protocols.
• Ability to manage cases involving adults only, with experience in electrophysiology studies and complex device implantations.
  
  

Schedule & Work Environment

• Four 10-hour shifts per week, 0630 to 1700.
• Weekend call rotation and at least one holiday shift per contract.
• Scheduling cycles rotate every 6 weeks; return-to-office requires manager approval.
