Key Qualifications
- Credentialed Registered Electroencephalography Technologist (R.EEG.T) or board eligible by ABRET preferred.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required prior to start.
- Minimum two years of experience as an EEG technician.
- High School Diploma/GED with two years of relevant experience, or an Associates or Technical degree.
- Strong understanding of EEG, EP, and PSG equipment operation.
- Ability to recognize and manage artifacts during test recordings.
- Excellent patient communication and education skills.
- Prepare and set up equipment and supplies for each diagnostic test as ordered.
- Review patient history, collect necessary documentation, and educate patients on procedure expectations.
- Monitor patient condition continuously during procedures, documenting and reporting any adverse reactions promptly.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment to accurately capture EEG and related data.
- Analyze, score, and report diagnostic test results with attention to detail and accuracy.
