Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Special Education services in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using effective teaching strategies.
- Develop and implement lesson plans with differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to assess student progress and learning needs.
- Participate actively in the IEP process including development of present levels, goals, and services.
- Monitor student progress and implement behavior management strategies within the classroom.
- Maintain all required documentation such as notes, summaries, and IEP records.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with school staff, students, and families to support student success.
- Valid North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Deaf and Hard of Hearing Professional Educators License.
- Submission of a screenshot of an active license is required.
- Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is highly preferred.
