Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Salisbury, North Carolina

Provide specialized instruction as an on-site Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a full-time, school-based setting located in Concord, NC. This role involves delivering tailored educational services aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment for approximately 1012 students.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Special Education services in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using effective teaching strategies.
• Develop and implement lesson plans with differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Conduct screenings and evaluations to assess student progress and learning needs.
• Participate actively in the IEP process including development of present levels, goals, and services.
• Monitor student progress and implement behavior management strategies within the classroom.
• Maintain all required documentation such as notes, summaries, and IEP records.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with school staff, students, and families to support student success.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Deaf and Hard of Hearing Professional Educators License.
• Submission of a screenshot of an active license is required.
• Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is highly preferred.
