Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH)
  • Previous experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a school or educational setting highly preferred
  • Deep understanding of inclusive instructional strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant communication modalities is a plus
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive, accessible, and engaging classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in accordance with their IEPs
  • Collaborate with educational teams, families, and support staff to optimize student learning outcomes
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting strategies as needed for individual growth
  • Provide recommendations and resources to staff and families for effective communication and learning
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings and professional development
