Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care, assisting in cardiovascular and other specialized surgeries.
- Support various surgical cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and cardiovascular procedures such as open heart and valve replacement surgeries.
- Utilize EMR systems like EPIC Optime (Intraop), and operate medical devices including Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
- Maintain adherence to hospital protocols within a collaborative team environment focused on safety and inclusion.
- Current RN license with BLS certification; CST certification and graduation from an accredited program preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in General OR and 5 years in CVOR preferred; first-time travelers may be considered based on experience.
- Ability to manage on-call responsibilities and participate in weekend and holiday call rotations.
- Comfortable with a 6-week rotating schedule including 12-hour shifts, primarily 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM.
