CVOR Nurse - Hastings, MI

A specialized opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures, focusing on advanced vein harvesting techniques. This role is crucial for delivering exceptional patient care in cardiac surgery environments. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting and have solid experience working with cardiac cases.

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with CVOR specialization
• Proven skill in endoscopic vein harvesting with 3s or 4s experience in vein harvesting and cardiac areas
• Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
• Ability to perform as a Surgical First Assistant (SFA) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) considered advantageous
• Flexibility to provide general department first assist coverage, including orthopedic, vascular, gynecological, thoracic, and general surgeries, as needed
  
  

Schedule And Hours

• Day shifts, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM 5:30 PM) or 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Call requirements of approximately 12-18 days per month
• Weekend coverage 2-3 weekends monthly

• Provide expert assistance during cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Perform vein harvesting with endoscopic proficiency
• Support other surgical departments as needed when cardiac cases are not scheduled
• Maintain patient safety and surgical standards throughout care
