Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification required; advanced registry in CT (ARRT CT) preferred
- Previous experience operating CT and CT/PET imaging equipment in a hospital or clinical setting
- Proficiency in performing high-quality diagnostic imaging, including contrast studies and PET/CT scans
- Excellent knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff
- Strong communication skills and commitment to patient care and safety
- Current BLS certification
- Variable shifts may be required; flexibility is a plus
- On-call rotation may be included, depending on department needs
- Conduct CT and CT/PET scans according to physician orders and established protocols
- Provide accurate patient positioning and utilize appropriate safety precautions
- Review and prepare images for radiologist interpretation, ensuring the highest diagnostic quality
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with hospital policies and confidentiality requirements
- Monitor equipment functionality, perform routine calibration, and report any maintenance needs
- Ensure a compassionate, respectful environment for patients, answering questions and explaining procedures
