A pharmacy technician fluent in Spanish is needed to support a busy clinic pharmacy located in Arlington Heights, IL. This position offers the opportunity to utilize clinical pharmacy knowledge and language skills to deliver excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role is contract-based, with a schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Saturday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients by answering calls and conducting outreach
- Process prescription refills and assist with dispensing medications accurately
- Manage incoming pharmacy orders from wholesalers and maintain inventory
- Handle cash transactions and assist with day-to-day pharmacy operations
- Support clinical pharmacy activities as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred; assistance is available to obtain certification if not currently held
- Clinical pharmacy experience is highly desirable
- Proficient in Spanish, both spoken and written, to provide excellent patient communication
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 9 a.m. 3 p.m.
