Cath Lab Tech in Waterbury, CT

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1 year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule/Hours

• 17-week contract
• 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• On-call rotation every third weekend
• On-call two weekdays per week, as determined by unit needs
  
  

Qualifications

• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Registered Technologist – Radiography [RT(R)] or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• Proven experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory setting, with strong knowledge of imaging procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-acuity situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
  

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and assessment of patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures
• Operate advanced imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, adhering to safety and infection control protocols
• Accurately document procedures and patient responses
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond promptly as clinical needs arise
