Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during cardiac and vascular procedures, maintaining sterile field and acting as a scrub assistant.
- Operate and monitor imaging equipment in the control room, documenting procedure images and events accurately.
- Provide patient education on procedure expectations and pre- and post-procedure care.
- Support unit cleanliness and maintain appropriate stock levels for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Complete all documentation including daily progress and discharge notes according to departmental standards.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives; identify areas for workflow enhancements and potential safety hazards.
- Share on-call responsibilities for nights, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time.
- Uphold organizational mission, vision, values, and service behavior standards.
- Valid RN license (Single State or Compact RN License).
- Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac cath lab or related area.
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS.
- Ability to work 4-10 hour shifts including weekends and share on-call duties.
