Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess critically ill and post-cardiac surgery patients.
- Interpret telemetry data, including cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
- Administer a wide range of medications, including ICU drips such as levophed, epinephrine, dobutamine, vasopressin, and telemetry medications such as cardizem, amiodarone, primacore, and diuretics.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions, adjusting care as necessary.
- Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions and post-operative care.
- Current RN licensure with experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) or telemetry settings.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac critical care and telemetry interpretation.
