Behavioral Specialist in School Setting | Lakewood, Washington

This full-time position in Lakewood, WA is seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students within a school setting from September 3, 2025, through June 10, 2026. The role offers onsite work with a structured schedule of 7.5 total hours daily, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, resulting in 7 paid hours per day.

Key responsibilities include implementing behavior support plans, delivering one-on-one interventions, and building behavior specialist assistant (BSA) caseloads primarily at the elementary level. The position requires collaboration with educational staff to create positive learning environments and to support students social and behavioral development.

Desired Qualifications And Experience

• Valid Washington State licensure or credentials appropriate for Behavior Specialist, CBT, or RBT roles
• Current fingerprint clearance through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)
• Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, with emphasis on behavioral interventions
• Ability to manage caseloads involving direct one-on-one work and developing BSA supports
