We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer with 8 years of experience in C# .NET and SQL Server to join our engineering team. This role focuses on middle and back-end development, supporting data-intensive applications and system integrations. This is a full-time in-office role located in Westlake, TX just off of highway 114.

The Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer with 8 years of experience in C# .NET and SQL Server to join our engineering team. This role focuses on middle and back-end development, supporting data-intensive applications and system integrations. What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and data processing pipelines.
- Optimize SQL Server queries and database structures for performance and scalability.
- Implement screen scraping techniques while navigating bot detection and CAPTCHA challenges.
- Integrate with a wide variety of external systems, APIs, and data sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring junior developers.
- 8 years of proven experience with C# .NET and SQL Server in production environments.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
- Experience handling large-scale data processing efficiently.
- Familiarity with screen scraping, including techniques to limit challenges presented by bot detection and CAPTCHA.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and system integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand complex infrastructure environment
- Fluent in English both Written and Verbal
- Prior work experience in and understanding of Agile Development
- Experience with testing framework like NUnit, xunit or equivalent
- API (REST, SOAP)
- Advanced parsing of various data exchange formats XML, JSON, fixed width, delimited, etc.
- Experience with Test Driven Development
- Experience with Mocking Frameworks like MOQ or Rhino
