Busy and growing podiatry practice in Glendale, AZ is seeking a part-time Front Office Medical Receptionist with the potential to grow into full-time. We believe patients should be treated as people, not just names on a chart. We’re looking for someone with an upbeat, positive attitude who knows how to multi-task efficiently but also slows down to make every patient feel seen and cared for.
What You’ll Do:
- Answer multi-line phones and direct calls professionally
- Schedule new patient and follow-up appointments
- Greet patients with a friendly smile and check them in/out
- Prepare and review patient paperwork, ensuring all forms are completed and signed
- Scan documents, make copies of insurance cards and photo IDs
- Collect co-pays, past-due balances, and process payments
- Call patient referrals to schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with other front office tasks
What We’re Looking For:
- Required: At least 1 year of customer service experience and 1 year of computer skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent customer service skills with patience and empathy
- Ability to multi-task and stay detail-oriented in a busy environment
- Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking English effectively)
- Self-motivated team player who is dependable and punctual
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous EHR/medical software experience (big plus!)
- Spanish speaking (highly valued in our patient population)
Schedule:
- Tuesday: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Thursday: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Friday: 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM
No weekends — great work-life balance!
Compensation:
- $18 – $20 per hour (depending on experience)
- For full-time employees: Paid vacation, paid sick time, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and 401(k)
