SolComms, a high-energy PR agency for start-ups and scale-ups, sitting at the intersection of corporate and consumer, is looking to hire an Account Manager to Senior Account Manager for its growing Consumer/Lifestyle division.

Role & Responsibilities:
Administrative Tasks
- Ensure all workflow completed by junior team members is up to agency standards
- Consistently flag timely and relevant newsjack opportunities; take the lead in acting on these rapidly
Strategy Development
- Partner with VPs/Directors/SAMs to lead the development of strategies; motivate junior team members to be active participants in strategy development
- Anticipate account needs and identify opportunities for strategic moments - from day-to-day creative pitch ideation, to larger-scale campaigns and activations
- Guide junior team members through the ideation of big-picture ideas, offering insight into what makes a campaign successful
- Actively present big ideas to Directors and clients
- Prompt and lead agency brainstorms and internals
Corporate Communications
- Be the point of contact, leading clients through difficult-to-navigate circumstances
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of each client’s industry landscape; solidify yourself as an expert in each space and offer POVs on how to stay ahead of the competition
- Lead executive messaging development and sessions with clients
- Identify and consistently land thought leadership and founder placements for clients
- Review Speaker’s Bureau and Conference applications drafted by AEs
Events & Partnerships
- Be the first line of defense and troubleshoot any on-event issues
- Conceptualize events from start to finish and own media updates/communication
- Be on-site for event setup and execution
- Lead client communications on-site
- Attend and lead destination press trips
- Finalize event recaps, invite lists, inclusive of media, influencers, tastemakers, etc., dependent on industry
- Serve as a partnership lead in all calls, email correspondence, and strategy
Media Relations
- Serve as the pinch hitter for your teams - jumping in to quickly deliver press and results when needed
- Be an agency resource, leveraging media relationships across teams as needed
- Identify opportunities to create news when there is no news for clients
- Consistently refine media relations strategy, ensuring the team is delivering smart, on-trend pitches that are translating into opportunities
- Mentor junior team members on media relations, walking through list building and pitch writing, and next steps
- Leading key media announcements, managing up and down to ensure each news moment is a success
- Continue refining mastery of media landscape, landing a mix of digital, broadcast, podcast, newsletter, and more
- Draft complex media materials, inclusive of press releases, OpEds, LinkedIn content, and more
Client Communications
- Serve as the day-to-day client lead, jumping into timely requests, building relationships with key client team members, and solidifying yourself as a go-to for the account
- Demonstrate strong stewardship of client communications by tactfully navigating client requests; serve as an advocate for junior team members
- Anticipate client needs, delivering on requests before they’re asked
- Confidently lead the majority of client calls
Mentorship
- Directly manage Junior Account Executives and Account Executives; responsible for their growth at the agency, and serving as a resource and guide for their future
- Lead weekly meetings with your direct reports
- Continue to be a sounding board for junior team members; offer advice and counsel to help improve their workflows
Agency Growth
- Participate in new business; join discovery calls and support the development of pitches. Occasionally join presentations

Salary : $75,000 - $105,000
