Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of utility-scale solar construction projects. This role is responsible for managing project performance from financial tracking and scheduling through construction, commissioning, and closeout.

The Project Manager will work closely with corporate leadership, project executives, field supervision, safety teams, clients, consultants, and trade contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual, quality, schedule, and financial requirements. The ideal candidate brings hands-on solar construction project management experience, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage overall solar project execution, including profit and loss responsibilities, trade contractor coordination, and participation in proposals and presentations.
  • Oversee project financial tracking, including job expenditures, monthly owner requisitions, change orders, loss-control activities, and project assets.
  • Partner with jobsite and Safety teams to develop, implement, and maintain project safety programs while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Oversee implementation of the project quality management plan and foster a culture focused on quality.
  • Coordinate and manage design deliverable schedules to support permitting, procurement, off-site production, construction, testing, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Manage project performance reporting related to schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety and environmental performance, quality control, and lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with Field Supervision to ensure necessary equipment, materials, and resources are available to support field operations.
  • Manage risks associated with EPC agreements and ensure design compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Lead relationships among the project team, client representatives, consultants, and trade contractors.
  • Manage staff and hourly workforce schedules.
  • Develop and maintain strong, customer-focused relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, including local government officials.

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to travel as required to support project and jobsite operations.
  • Ability to work effectively in active construction and project environments while coordinating with field and corporate teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple project priorities, schedules, stakeholders, and operational requirements.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of solar construction project management experience, including experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and/or Assistant Project Manager.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, project teams, and local government officials.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with project management and project accounting platforms such as Procore and Sage.
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
  • Utility-scale solar EPC/construction experience strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
