Essential Function Of The Job
- Surface & Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and vacuum all flooring (carpet and hard surfaces) in open workspaces, offices, and meeting/conference rooms.
- Sanitization: Thoroughly clean and disinfect high-touch points (door handles, light switches, thermostats, etc.)
- Kitchen & Kitchenettes: Clean countertops, sinks, floors and appliances.
- Waste Management: Empty all trash daily. Ensure liners are replaced as needed, and waste is moved to the designated dumpster.
- Restocking: Monitor and replenish supplies, including paper towels, soap, and restroom essentials.
- Detailing: Dust surfaces, vents, and window sills. Ensure glass partitions and entrance doors remain smudge-free.
- Safety & Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance issues (leaks, burnt-out bulbs, or safety hazards) to management.
- Good communication skills. Ability to read and follow safety labels and communicate with the office team.
- Ability to follow directions
- Good organizational skills; internal customer services skills
- Strong track record of punctuality and consistent performance
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily checklist efficiently within the 5-hour shift.
- Familiar with janitorial tools and procedures
- Troubleshooting capabilities
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services preferred.
- This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
- Must be able to travel as needed.
- Ability to frequently use hands for repetitive actions (grasping and manipulating)
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, turn, and stoop while working with your hands
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and /or push/pull 50 pounds
- Ability to occasionally work outside in the heat, cold, and rain
- Ability to climb ladders and work above your head
- Good vision and hearing is imperative
- Employees are responsible for complying with safe work rules; reporting all accidents and injuries immediately; cooperating in all accident and injury investigations; reporting defective equipment and unsafe conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Temperature-controlled office environment.
