Kitchen Lead — Casual American Bar & Grill

We’re looking for a strong Kitchen Lead to join our back-of-house team at a busy casual American bar & grill. This role is ideal for someone who can lead by example, stay organized during busy services, and help keep the kitchen running smoothly from prep through close.

If you’re dependable, work well under pressure, and have solid line experience with some leadership background, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Help oversee daily kitchen operations during prep and service
• Support and guide the line during busy shifts
• Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and timing
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and up to health and safety standards
• Assist with prep, inventory, stocking, and kitchen organization
• Help with opening and closing procedures
• Work closely with management and front-of-house staff to keep service running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

• Previous line cook experience required
• Previous kitchen leadership or supervisory experience
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay composed under pressure
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed (seasonal menus and other
• Bilingual in Spanish/English a plus

Must Have

• The minimum requirement for applicants is a High School diploma or General Education Development(GED) degree required; plus 3-5 years of kitchen management experience
• Food Handler's certificate from the County of San Diego
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Team attitude
