We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated designer for our transportation engineering services office in Jackson, MS, Huntsville, AL, or Memphis, TN region with the goal of driving business growth, operational excellence, and project delivery success for local and regional clients.

· Assist engineer and design team with project designs and models

· Production of transportation design plans, specifications and cost estimates for the following projects: roadway, interstate, bridge, surface treatment/pavement rehabilitation, sidewalks and drainage.

· Works closely with project managers and senior engineering staff.

· Reviews and certifies drawings for accuracy, completeness and adherence to drafting and design standards.

Job Qualifications

· 4 Years of transportation engineering experience.

· Proficiency at producing construction documents using Bentley MicroStation and Open Road Design (ORD). Additional experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.

· Excellent ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants and utility companies.

· Excellent time and project management skills. · Very organized, dependable, and professional.

· Experience with mandatory/permitting at federal, state, regional, county, and local levels is a plus.
