Construction Inspector

We are currently seeking a construction inspector to join our growing company. This candidate will work closely with other engineers and technicians to assist in the design and management of several civil engineering projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities

• Site, civil, or utility improvements- assessing earthwork, grading, utilities, roads, and other site infrastructure per project requirements.
• Building renovations or rehabilitations - reviewing demolition, retrofit, and reconstruction activities to ensure quality and adherence to scope.
• Roofing, structural, or envelope work- must be able to evaluate the integrity and compliance of installed roofs, structural components, and thermal/weatherproofing systems.
• New Building Construction-Ability to monitor and verify that all phases of vertical construction comply with contract specifications, regulations, and approved plans.
•  Electrical or mechanical systems (HVAC/plumbing)-inspecting installation, testing, and commissioning of building systems for compliance with design, safety codes, and functional performance.
• In any combination of the above, the inspector maybe required to inspect and ensure full compliance with USACE, Federal, and contract standards. 
  
  
  

Job Qualifications

• • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience related to occupation.
  • Moderate-term on-the-job training.
  • Shall have a working knowledge and/or training with personal safety practices, 
  • familiarity with industry terminology, ability to read architectural and installation drawings including hoist way and machine room layouts.
    • knowledge of electrical, electronic, and circuit construction principles, 
    • a working knowledge of mechanical principles as applied to structures, machines, and mechanisms.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills with English proficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to work outside and inside.
