SOL Engineering Services, LLC is seeking four Construction Engineering Inspectors for a project that will be located at the Birmingham International Airport. The Construction Engineering Inspectors should exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to complete daily work reports.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Inspection of construction processes and materials to assure compliance with FAA specifications.
- Written daily work reports.
- Rate of application computations.
- Inspection of truckload tickets.
- Field measurements and record keeping.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
- Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs.
- Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to perform moderate physical activity including but not limited to walking, climbing, balancing and standing.
- Perform or assist with any additional related assignments as required.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to work in the United States and pass a drug screen
- Must be able to pass a TSA background check.
- Must apply safety program and philosophy to all operations.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering Degree.
- FAA paving experience, ALDOT paving experience.
- Roadway Technician Certification.
- Asphalt Level 1 Technician Certification.
