SOKOL GxP Services is seeking a Production Planner to support supply chain operations within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment in New Brunswick, NJ.
This role is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products by coordinating supply, demand, and logistics activities. The Production Planner will work closely with internal planning teams and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to support production schedules, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating supply chain activities between internal planning teams and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs)
- Acting as a key point of contact between planning, manufacturing, and CMOs to ensure timely execution of supply and production plans
- Executing and tracking supply and purchase orders in SAP to support on-time delivery aligned with batch production and release timelines
- Managing order exceptions, shortages, allocations, and stock-outs impacting market and clinical supply
- Maintaining open order reporting and communicating shipping plans for GMP materials and finished drug products
- Supporting production scheduling, campaign timing, and material consumption for externally manufactured products
- Coordinating rework, redress, and disposition activities in collaboration with Quality and CMO partners
- Assessing and escalating supply disruptions, quality events, and deviations impacting product availability
- Providing input into forecasting, inventory planning, and performance metrics (service level, backorders, inventory status)
- Supporting priority planning activities including backorder management and supply risk mitigation
- Escalating supply risks, constraints, and execution issues to the Supply Chain Manager as needed
- Associate degree in a related discipline,
- Between 4 and 7 years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing environments, particularly within the pharmaceutical or consumer goods sectors;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel along with strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite;
- 3-5 years experience working with an ERP system;
- 3 years In-depth knowledge of master scheduling, forecasting, customer service, logistics, distribution, and inventory management;
- Solid understanding of MPS, MRP, forecasting techniques, and the impact of sourcing decisions;
- Ability to work in a hybrid setting in New Brunswick, NJ, with at least 50% of time spent on-site and the flexibility to increase on-site presence beyond 50% based on business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Experience coordinating with contract manufacturers (CMOs) or external manufacturing partners;
- Experience with SAP ERP;
- Project management experience.
Competitive hourly rate: $27.01 – $34.31/hour (W-2 only, no C2C)
12-month contract with possible extension
