The Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with existing customers onboarded by the Commercial Development team. This role owns day-to-day customer engagement, new project scoping and pricing, and accurate sales forecasting within Salesforce. The Account Manager ensures all project work is properly scoped, priced, contracted, and delivered, while driving incremental revenue through upsell and expansion opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, overseeing day-to day communication and overall relationship health
· Build strong, long-term partnerships by developing a deep understanding of customer needs, goals, and operational requirements
· Proactively identify risks, challenges, and growth opportunities within customer accounts
Project Scoping, Pricing, and Contracts
· Lead all new project scoping efforts, including defining scope of work, timelines, and deliverables
· Develop accurate pricing models and commercial terms for new projects and expansions
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure scopes and pricing are feasible and aligned with company objectives
· Ensure a signed Scope of Work (SOW) or contract is executed prior to project initiation
· Manage the internal handoff of newly contracted projects to ensure seamless execution
Revenue Growth & Upselling
· Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customer accounts
· Drive incremental revenue growth by expanding project volume, services, or scope
Sales Forecasting & CRM Ownership
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts within Salesforce
· Own opportunity management, pipeline hygiene, and deal tracking for assigned accounts
· Provide reliable forecasting and reporting to commercial leadership
Internal Collaboration
· Act as the internal advocate for customers, coordinating across teams to support successful project delivery
· Partner closely with the Commercial Development team to ensure smooth onboarding and handoff of new customers
· Support leadership with insights on customer trends, feedback, and growth opportunities
Qualifications
· 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or customer-facing commercial roles
· Strong experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
· Proven ability to scope projects, price services, and manage contracts
· Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
· Ability to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
· Strong business acumen with comfort working with financials, pricing models, and forecasts
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher
· Experience in contract manufacturing sales or account management supporting complex, multi-project customer relationships
· Strong knowledge of the CPG industry, with experience in logistics, manufacturing, or operations-driven environments
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (Salesforce), and ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle
