Forklift Operator - 1st shift

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join Sojo Industries Inc. In this role, you will be the backbone of our warehouse operations—responsible for the precise movement of materials, inventory accuracy, and the seamless transition of goods from incoming shipments to production lines. Responsibilities:

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials while using various types of forklifts or other power equipment (electric, LP, dual-pallet attachments, electric pallet jack, pallet jack)
• Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of product is loaded per Customer specified order.
• Follow RF Scan Gun directed picking to ensure oldest Customer product is being picked for shipment first (FEFO: First Expired First Out)
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Transport raw materials to production workstations
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Assist in monthly/quarterly/yearly physical inventories.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
• Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage, report variances as necessary.
• Change equipment battery and monitor power source (including Liquid Propane) as necessary.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
• All other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, line operations and warehouse functions if no forklift work is available

Qualifications:

• Forklift operator Certification
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• High school diploma
• Fluent in English- able to read and write
• Forklift: minimum 1 year (Required)
