Spoon and Stable is hiring a Pastry Sous Chef. This is a Full-Time, Exempt position.
We are looking for a driven, team-oriented culinary professional to help lead our kitchen as a Pastry Sous Chef. Must be able to learn from mistakes, cultivate a positive attitude through good and bad days, and hold to a culture of respect for all team members. Fine dining experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Lead production & service with the ability to energize the team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards during both prep & service.
- Coach staff to resolve issues in a productive and professional manner.
- Handle schedule writing and time off requests.
- Drive efficiency, ensuring scheduled out times are met and items are done in a timely manner.
- Step in to cover shifts or stations as needed.
- Plate on the pastry pass and provide support to high volume stations with savory chefs assist as needed.
- Ensure both AM and station prep lists/inventory are filled out completely on a nightly basis.
- Ensure that all products are received and stored properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Contribute to menu development, develop specials, and work with leftover products to minimize waste and enhance profitability.
- Get familiar with vendors, ordering schedules, create order guides, ordering, etc.
- Properly follow health and sanitation requirements per the Department of Health.
- Other duties as necessitated by business demands.
- Ability to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours.
- Ability to work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.

Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
