Position Details For Event Staff

• Pay: $20/hour for Event Shifts & $55 flat rate for Crew shifts
• Event operations: Assist during live events (including guest services, vendor coordination, and maintain event flow).
• Event Set Up/Crew Shifts: Morning Crew shifts for event set up (including furniture arrangement, inventory restocking, light cleaning and overall event preparation).
• Schedule: Part-time, based on event schedule
• Weekend evenings events – Typically 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
• Weekday mornings for crew shifts – Typically 9:00 am – 11:00 am
• Occasional weekday evening events – Daytime and evening
• Asking for a minimum of 30 hours & 2 crew shifts per month based on event schedule.

· Schedule Process: At hire, you'll provide your general availability; schedules are released monthly, and any specific time-off requests must be submitted by the 31st of the month prior.

Your Role
As an Event Staff team member, you’ll play an essential, guest-facing role in delivering a seamless and memorable event experience at our venue. You'll support our Event Captains by ensuring each event runs smoothly on schedule, and to the highest standard of quality. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position where your ability to stay proactive, organized, and attentive is key to event success.

You’ll be responsible for providing top-notch guest service, ensuring our clients and their guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and well-cared for throughout the event. From monitoring cleanliness and venue presentation to maintaining ideal temperature settings and flow of service, every detail matters. You’ll also work closely with vendors—such as caterers, DJs, photographers, and rental companies—to keep all aspects of the setup & event moving in sync.

Strong communication skills are critical. You’ll be expected to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, and vendors, both to solve real-time issues and to ensure feedback is shared and acted on. Ultimately, your presence helps bring the event vision to life and contributes directly to SoHo63’s reputation for excellence.

In addition to event operations, the crew element of this position is vital to our behind-the-scenes preparation. Set-up is a cornerstone of our success, and crew responsibilities include physically preparing the space for upcoming events. This hands-on work involves setting ceremony chairs and reception tables, placing linens, setting décor elements and restocking restrooms and essential event supplies (like towels, candles, and vases), and performing light cleaning tasks throughout the facility. These efforts ensure the venue is pristine, polished, and perfectly prepared for every event we host.

SoHo63 is looking to build a team for the Fall 2025 event season. We plan to conduct the interview process in July with hiring announcements in Early August. The event season begins in September.
