Position Overview:
The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering a smooth and positive patient experience. This position involves managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and supporting overall office workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive in-office experience
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently
- Answer phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Verify insurance information and assist with billing questions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
- Coordinate with dental assistants and hygienists to optimize scheduling
- Process payments and handle financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with office policies and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Familiarity with Open dental practice management software is a plus
- Basic understanding of dental insurance and billing processes
- Professional demeanor and a positive attitude
- Experienced (Preferred): But for the right personality and a quick learner, we are willing to train.
- Great attention to detail is a must
- Leadership qualities is a plus, position can turn in to a manager position
