SoHa Surf Shop is hiring Beach Rental Stand Attendants for our kayak and paddleboard rental stands in South Haven, MI. This is a seasonal outdoor position perfect for someone who loves being near the water, enjoys working with people, and wants to be part of a fun local team.
Our rental stands operate at South Beach, North Beach and Black River Park. You will be based at our 518 Phoenix St. store location and deployed to the stands during your shift. Tips at the stands can double or triple your hourly rate.
Responsibilities
- Rent kayaks and paddleboards to customers at our beach stands
- Provide clear safety briefings and usage instructions to every renter
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Keep the stand organized, stocked, and beach-ready throughout your shift
- Deliver outstanding customer service to every guest
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and carry kayaks and paddleboards (physical role)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work independently
- Punctual and self-motivated — the stands run lean, so we need people we can count on
- No prior experience required — we will train the right person
