Software Engineer in Test

Job Description: Sogeti is seeking a talented Software Test Engineer Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks, ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are met. This role emphasizes testability and collaboration with developers to resolve issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in an agile development team, delivering high-quality software.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Identify and report software defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
• Conduct code reviews, focusing on testability and maintainability.
• Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Execute comprehensive test plans and scenarios.
• Implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Monitor test results and provide feedback on software quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine testing strategies.
• Work with XML and JSON for content/data feeds and REST for consuming API.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software testing.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3 years hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
• 1-3 years of experience in programming languages like Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Python.
• Experience with RESTful API Testing (e.g., Postman, JMeter).
• Proficiency in web development technologies (e.g., Ruby on Rails, React).
• Knowledge of SQL and no-SQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with XML and JSON for content/data feeds and REST for consuming API.
• Knowledge of LINUX and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with macOS and LINUX shell scripting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning.
