What are the responsibilities and job description for the Co-Founder - Business position at Softworker AI?
Softworker AI is building a collaborative workspace where human teams and autonomous AI agents work together.
Most AI tools today are built around a one-human, one-agent chat interface. We believe the future of AI work is multiplayer. In real businesses, work involves multiple people, multiple tools, multiple approvals, shared context, and sometimes multiple agents working together.
Softworker creates a shared execution space for business work, where teams can create governed AI agents, assign them real tasks, review their plans, approve actions, track execution, and help agents improve over time based on the company’s workflows and context.
We are currently building the prototype, and MVP development is in progress. You can see an early walkthrough of the product here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gzo7NnqYHsg
The current founding team includes a technical founder leading engineering and product development, and a co-founder who is currently in college and contributes to UX and product design.
We are now looking for a Business & GTM Co-founder who can help turn Softworker from an early product into a category-defining company.
Location: Global / Hybrid
Commitment: Full-time
Compensation: Early-stage equity / sweat equity. Equity can be discussed based on commitment, contribution, and any initial cash contribution.
Website: softworker.ai
Note: Before making a long-term co-founder commitment, we would like to spend an initial one week working closely together. This will help both sides understand founder fit, working style, communication, execution speed, and alignment with Softworker’s vision. The goal is to make sure the collaboration is genuinely win-win before we formally commit to each other.
This is not a job. This is a co-founder role.
We are looking for someone who can own the business side of Softworker end-to-end: customer discovery, GTM, sales, partnerships, fundraising, investor relations, positioning, and early market development.
You should be comfortable operating from zero to one. That means talking to customers before everything is polished, selling the vision before the product is obvious, learning fast from the market, and helping shape both product and strategy based on real business needs.
What You Will OwnYou will lead the business and commercial side of Softworker, including:
- Customer discovery and market research
- Defining our initial GTM strategy
- Selling to early design partners and pilot customers
- Building relationships with startups, SMBs, agencies, enterprises, and AI-forward companies
- Identifying the strongest initial wedge and use cases
- Fundraising strategy and investor pipeline development
- Investor outreach, pitch refinement, and relationship management
- Strategic partnerships and ecosystem development
- Positioning, messaging, and early marketing
- Working closely with the product team to translate customer needs into product direction
Softworker can support many business workflows, but our early focus is around:
- Marketing agent suites
- Business operations automation
- Internal AI workspaces for teams
- Sales operations workflows
- Founder and executive workflows
- Multi-human, multi-agent collaboration inside business teams
You will help sharpen this into a focused wedge that customers urgently want and investors clearly understand.
What We Are Looking ForWe are especially interested in someone with a background in one or more of the following:
- Startup founding or early-stage company building
- Enterprise sales or B2B SaaS sales
- Venture capital, fundraising, or startup ecosystem experience
- Selling technical or AI products to businesses
- GTM strategy for early-stage products
- Partnerships, business development, or strategic growth
You do not need to be a software engineer, but you must be AI-literate. You should deeply understand where AI agents, workflow automation, and AI-native workspaces are going.
You should be able to speak credibly with founders, operators, executives, investors, and technical teams.
Traits That MatterWe are looking for someone who is:
- Ambitious and high-agency
- Scrappy and execution-focused
- A strong communicator
- Comfortable selling before the product is fully mature
- Fundraising-oriented
- Strategic, but not only strategic
- Customer-obsessed
- Relentless about outreach, follow-ups, and closing
- Comfortable with uncertainty
- Excited by AI, automation, and the future of work
In the first 90 days, the goal will be to create real market momentum.
You should be ready to:
- Speak with 100 potential customers
- Identify the strongest customer segment and initial wedge
- Close at least 3 design partners or pilot conversations
- Build a strong investor pipeline
- Refine the pitch deck, narrative, and fundraising strategy
- Help define Softworker’s GTM motion
- Create early partnerships and distribution opportunities
- Bring market feedback directly into product direction
This is not for someone looking for a traditional job.
This is not for a passive advisor.
This is not for someone who only wants to make strategy slides.
This is not for someone who cannot sell.
This is not for someone who wants to wait until the product, market, and funding are already figured out.
We need a builder, seller, and partner who wants to help create the company from the ground up.
Why JoinAI is moving from simple chat interfaces to real business execution.
But companies will not adopt autonomous AI agents without trust, context, permissions, approvals, visibility, and governance.
Softworker is being built for that future: a collaborative operating layer where humans and AI agents work together safely and effectively.
You would be joining at the earliest stage, while the product, category, GTM, and fundraising story are still being shaped. This is a chance to help define the company from the ground up alongside a technical founder and a product/UX-focused co-founder.
If you believe AI will fundamentally change how companies operate, and you want to help build the business around that shift, we would love to talk.
