Los Angeles, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 6/3/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/29/2026

We’re building a new category of institutional intelligence for the real estate / built environment sector. The founder is actively working with institutional clients and brings deep domain expertise. Need a strong technical partner to own the core data platform from the ground up.

You’ll own:

• Data architecture & ingestion pipelines

• Multi-source ETL/ELT and data modeling

• Entity resolution, governance & internal tools

• Scalable platform foundation

Tech expectations: Strong Python SQL, experience with messy multi-source data, pipelines (Airflow/dbt), governed systems, and document/entity handling. Supply chain / ConTech / trade data background a big plus.

  • Strong analytical skills, including data modeling, quantitative analysis, and the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Sales and marketing awareness, including comfort supporting investor conversations, product positioning, and technical input into go-to-market efforts.
  • Research skills for evaluating technologies, understanding market trends in the built environment and capital markets, and informing product decisions.
  • Proven experience architecting and building software products (e.g., web applications, data platforms, or analytics tools), ideally in an early-stage or startup context.
  • Hands-on expertise with modern development tools and practices (e.g., cloud infrastructure, APIs, version control, CI/CD, testing, and security-by-design).
  • Ability to operate as both an individual contributor and a strategic leader, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
  • Interest or experience in real estate, the built environment, capital markets, or financial technology is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Equity-driven early role.

If you’re a builder who thrives in ambiguity and wants true ownership in vertical intelligence, message me or email info@danielaverycollective.com with a short note resume.
