Software Methods is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Analyst for our client located in the West Chester, PA area.
The Accounts Receivable Analyst will be responsible for posting cash receipts daily, participating in billing activities, completing reporting requests, and performing collections while providing support as needed to the Finance and Accounting Team and other areas of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Post cash receipts daily.
- Communicate with plans as needed due to questions regarding payments received.
- Review billable claims for accuracy, using documented procedures and check list.
- Enter approved adjustments.
- Run and analyze various monthly billing and receivable reports.
- Distribute monthly and bi-monthly invoices and supporting documents.
- Monitor and respond as necessary to all emails that come into billing
- Respond to internal and external customer’s billing and invoicing questions.
- Generate accounts receivable aging reports on the scheduled cadence for departmental review as well as distribution to the appropriate Sales Representatives.
- Perform collection efforts following collection protocol (via email and phone) for past due receivables.
- Update multiple systems with new customer and plan billing data.
- Run various reports upon request for Revenue Manager to review and approve for distribution.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Escalate unresolved issues appropriately, quickly and recommend solutions.
- Work with analytics team to create effective reporting to improve account data and billing processes.
- As needed assist with year-end audit requests.
- Perform such other duties as needed or assigned by management.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant job experience.
- 3 years experience in related area
- High attention to detail
- Being able to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Team player
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a group or individually.
- Ability to approach problems/decisions analytically.
- Ability to reconcile and maintain accurate records.
- Time management and prioritization skills
- Computer, email and MS Office competency
- Ability/willingness to adhere to established policies and procedures.
