Responsibilities:
- Oversee and has accountability for day-to-day accounting processes and systems, ensuring accurate processing, recording, and reporting of financial information.
- Be responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of financial reporting
- Assist with the maintenance and improvement of the internal control environment including general adherence and knowledge of SOX controls and external audit procedures, as applicable.
- Ensure daily management activities are conducted in compliance with internal and external control requirements.
- Adhere to the accounting principles and practices and regulatory environment and ensures these principles and practices are applied in the daily work.
- Delegate, review, approve, and on occasion, may prepare requests for ad hoc analysis of various types of financial information utilizing operational and financial analytics as appropriate for the situation.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to accounting staff.
- Responsible for driving the engagement and culture of the team.
- Understand the financial strategies, plans of the business, and serves as consultant to management and controllers on processes with financial implications, financial plans, and business performance.
- Lead team and possibly cross functional teams in identifying opportunities to improve operating efficiency, controls, implement new technologies, develop solutions, achieve consensus for change and drive projects through implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related fields.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience
- Ability to drive consistent execution and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with both clients and colleagues in a fast-moving professional team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including advanced Excel knowledge.
- Ability to manage your work efficiently.
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Experience leading and partnering with colleagues in multiple locations.
- The ability to manage complex business process issues, resolving conflicts as well as complex problems and ensure on-time delivery.
