What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist - Accounting Operations position at Rachel Solutions?
We will count on you to:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and systems, ensuring financial transactions are processed, recorded, and reported accurately and on time.
Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.
Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of internal controls, including adherence to applicable SOX requirements and external audit standards where relevant.
Ensure daily activities align with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Apply established accounting principles and practices consistently across all work.
Delegate, review, and approve deliverables, and at times prepare ad hoc financial analyses using both operational and financial data.
Provide leadership, guidance, and development support to accounting staff.
Foster a strong, engaged, and accountable team culture.
Develop a clear understanding of business financial strategies and plans, and advise management and controllers on process improvements, financial implications, and performance insights.
Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on improving efficiency, strengthening controls, implementing technology solutions, and driving projects through to completion.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields
- At least 3 years of leadership experience
- Ability to drive consistent execution and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with both clients and colleagues in a fast-moving professional team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel knowledge
- Ability to manage your work efficiently
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
