- Lead and oversee Financial Reporting Process Controls (FRPC) to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting processes across the organization.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with leadership to present findings, risk assessments, and progress on remediation efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the internal audit function.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) technology platforms to support audit and controls compliance workflows, and enhance the effectiveness, efficiency and coverage of audit activities.
- Partner with the CAO, external auditors, and key process owners and stakeholders to drive a culture of control consciousness across the organization through training, policy development, and embedding control considerations into new processes, systems, and business initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management by recommending process enhancements based on audit findings and proactively monitoring the evolving regulatory landscape to assess the impact of new guidance.
- Maintain high standards of audit integrity and independence in line with industry guidelines, ensuring audit processes are free of conflicts of interest.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification required.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant professional certification strongly preferred.
- 10 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or a combination of both, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Prior experience working within a publicly listed company environment preferred
- Prior experience at a Big Four or large regional public accounting firm preferred.
- Experience in liaising with external auditors and consultants to integrate external expertise into internal audit operations effectively.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing internal audit and controls compliance programs.
- Deep technical expertise in COSO internal control frameworks, PCAOB auditing standards, and SEC reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with executive leadership to achieve strategic objectives.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset to foster continuous improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize audit findings and recommendations for non-audit stakeholders.
