Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fine Dining Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a high-end dining environment. As a Fine Dining Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests through attentive service, extensive menu knowledge, and a commitment to excellence.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
- Present menus and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain knowledge of wine pairings and assist guests with selections.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables promptly.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by anticipating needs and responding effectively to feedback.
Skills
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Familiarity with food handling, preparation, and safety standards in the food industry.
- Ability to perform basic math for order processing and cash handling accurately.
- Experience with restaurant management systems such as OpenTable is a plus.
- Culinary experience or knowledge is advantageous for menu discussions with guests.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
