Maintenance Planner – Sofidel Tissue

This role is critical in ensuring equipment reliability through effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Develop maintenance plans, including materials, man-hours, activity sequencing, and required support services.
- Coordinate and initiate preventative maintenance activities, including on-site measurements and parts verification.
- Create short, mid, and long-term maintenance plans for equipment.
- Monitor and track labor and materials in the JDE work order system; manage notifications and backlog; conduct maintenance log audits.
- Assist in developing equipment inspection procedures for proper maintenance of mill equipment. Lead maintenance shift hand-off meetings and issue daily work orders for electrical and mechanical teams.
- Collaborate with the Storeroom Coordinator to schedule spare parts, materials, and work order kitting for planned jobs.
- Develop Gantt charts for outage jobs and projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements; participate in incident investigations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical experience or 3 years of related education in lieu of experience required. Maintenance planning experience preferred.
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance systems preferred. Strong skills in Microsoft Office; familiarity with JDE, Client Workflow, and related tools preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial motor controls and troubleshooting required.
- Ability to work in conditions with temperature extremes, loud noise, dust, and industrial fluids.
- Must follow PPE standards (eye and ear protection, steel-toed shoes, etc.). Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, with overtime or on-call as needed for 24/7 operations.
