Job Responsibilities
- Record live weights of all inbound and outbound loads accurately.
- Understand data flow through the supply chain and database systems.
- Operate the scale system, ensuring accurate reporting and effective communication with transportation drivers and management.
- Maintain accuracy of data in the scale program, including transportation, processing, billing, and reporting.
- Keep detailed and accurate records for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Monitor and record all incoming and outgoing vehicles and pedestrians.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear, efficient communication with staff and drivers.
- Use telephones, radios, and other communication tools effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and order around scales to ensure accurate readings.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and state regulations.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 years of related work experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, quality and procedure manuals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
