Job Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical and instrumentation maintenance, replacing and repairing components and parts as needed, programming monitoring systems, and troubleshooting issues.
- Identify the root cause of quality and production deficiencies and take corrective action.
- Assist the production department with outage management and safety enhancements.
- Follow verbal and written directions as well as work orders to complete tasks and communicate openly between shifts.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.
- Ensure proper operation of robotic systems by maintaining all mechanical, electronic, and electrical components.
- Gather PLC input and output data to track equipment efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve problems, uncover the root causes, and assist in enhancing processes by identifying inefficiencies and design problems.
- Recommend improvements and make adjustments.
- Understand and utilize various electrical schematic wiring diagrams.
- Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support for all assigned automated systems at all hours of the day and night, depending on plant schedule.
- Follow regulations supporting Sofidel America’s “Good Manufacturing Practices” and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary, and hygienically sound workplace.
- Assists in on-the-job training of others.
- All other duties as assigned
- Technical Degree in Electrical, Electronics Technology, Electro-Mechanical or Automation/Engineering preferred or two (2) years of experience in related area
- Experience in a production environment, particularly as it relates to automation technology
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
