What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Controller position at Soffa Electric Inc?
SUMMARY
The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing the budget and financial strategies for the company. This person
will allocate funds for projects, forecast future revenue needs, analyze expected revenue streams, and otherwise
help maximize cash flow.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Developing financial strategies and forecasts to guide the company's growth and
profitability, analyzing financial data to provide insights into project performance and future financial trends.
2. Budgeting and Cost Control: Creating and managing budgets for construction projects, monitoring expenses, and
implementing cost control measures to ensure projects remain within budget constraints.
3. Financial Reporting in Sage 300 and Sage Intacct: Preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including income
statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide stakeholders with a clear picture of the company's
financial performance.
4. Cash Flow Management: Managing cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for ongoing operations and project expenses,
monitoring accounts receivable and payable, and optimizing cash flow through effective working capital management.
5. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks associated with construction projects, such as cost overruns,
project delays, and changes in market conditions, and implementing strategies to minimize these risks.
6. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and industry standards, such as
tax laws, accounting principles, and licensing requirements, and overseeing internal controls to prevent fraud and
financial mismanagement.
7. Strategic Planning and Decision Support: Collaborating with senior management to develop strategic plans and make
informed business decisions based on financial analysis and risk assessment, identifying opportunities for growth and
profitability.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED
Minimum Experience: 10 Years
Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar field.
Certification(s) Required: None
Abilities Required: Analytical skills, leadership skills, risk assessment skills, communication skills,
strategic skills, organization skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is
essential to this position.
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
