As a growing company, we’re currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits and provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting our Project Managers in the successful execution of painting projects.

About the Role:

The Safety Specialist is an essential part of our field operations team, dedicated to ensuring that every job site operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory standards. In this role, you’ll work hands-on in the field, conducting safety inspections, leading jobsite orientations, supporting incident investigations, and mentoring crews on safe work practices that align with SOEP’s strong safety culture. Through your guidance and field presence, you’ll help drive accountability, awareness, and continuous improvement across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Safety Specialist at SOEP, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

· Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization

· Serve as a resource for employees with safety questions or concerns

· Support field teams in understanding and applying safety procedures

· Provide coaching and on-the-spot training to reinforce safe work behaviors

· Lead or assist with new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings

· Perform regular site visits of active projects to ensure compliance with our safety SOPs

· Monitor jobsite compliance and verify documentation

· Support safety audits, insurance visits, and compliance reviews

· Assist in the development of project safety documents for field operations

· Aid in updating the safety manual and preparing safety-related documentation to support compliance and consistent safety practices

· Maintain recordkeeping documents as required by OSHA and prepare and research safety needs and expectations

· Assist with investigation and recording accidents and workers’ compensation claims

· Compile, analyze, and present safety performance data to management

Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a safety related field or two - five years of experience in a safety role
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, primarily construction standards
  • Sound analytical judgment to evaluate issues and support effective resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, efficiently and effectively
  • Approaches challenges with empathy, multiple solutions, and collaboration
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, walk on uneven surfaces, and endure temperature extremes as they occur.
  • Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated with the ability to work equally well individually or in a team setting.
  • Approach every responsibility and interaction with a high level of integrity, fairness, care, and concern

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
