About This Role
The HSE Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) program for the Suwanee Facility, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while aligning with global safety and environmental standards. The HSE Specialist will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety, health, sustainability, and environmental responsibility throughout the facility.
This is a critical position with an opportunity to influence the safety culture, sustainability initiatives, and operational integrity of the Suwanee Facility. Although this is a specialist level position, the selected candidate will be an individual contributor and the only point of contact for HSE matters with regional support.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Health & Safety Program Management:
- Maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with State legislation and global corporate safety standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, site audits, and hazard identification to ensure a safe working environment.
- Implement emergency preparedness plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first-aid training.
- Ensure compliance with State Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and other applicable regulations.
- Prepare and submit required safety documentation, including incident reports and regulatory filings.
- Act as the primary liaison with government agencies, safety inspectors, and external auditors.
- Implement environmental policies and programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions control, and energy efficiency.
- Monitor and report on environmental impact metrics, such as carbon footprint, water usage, and hazardous materials management.
- Collaborate with facility teams to improve sustainability initiatives, including recycling, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws and standards, such as the Environmental Protection Act (EPA) of State of Georgia.
- Develop and deliver training programs on workplace safety, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices.
- Promote a proactive safety and environmental culture through regular communication, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and legal requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed records of all safety and environmental incidents, ensuring proper reporting and follow-up actions.
- Lead the implementation of preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of future incidents.
- Work closely with the local Leadership and global safety & environmental teams align local and global HSE strategies.
- Provide regular updates and reports on safety and environmental performance, initiatives, and compliance to senior leadership.
- Act as a key liaison between facilities and corporate HSE teams, ensuring smooth communication and consistency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a multi-site or international environment.
- Proven experience with Georgia Occupational Health and Safety Act and environmental regulations.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and corporate environmental responsibility programs.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and environmental compliance.
- Proficiency in data analysis and HSE reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and locations effectively.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills to navigate global collaboration.

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
