The Operations Coordinator – Family Success Center is responsible for facilitating services, supervising front line employees, and coordinating daily operations to best address the needs of homeless individuals for St Vincent de Paul’s Family Success Center Drop-in Center. THIS IS A TEMPORARY GRANT-FUNDED POSITION FOR ONE (1) YEAR
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Support managing daily operations of the SVDP FSC drop-in center to ensure a safe and comfortable space for individuals to seek community resources.
Ø Maintain and advance professional knowledge/skills to identify program enhancements in order to drive continuous improvement in center effectiveness as measured by guest experiences
Ø Maintain effective communication with the Sr. Director of Operations regarding consumer needs and safety concerns.
Ø Demonstrate crisis intervention and solution-focused approaches to issues/concerns that may arise; ability to triage issues.
Ø Assign tasks to program aid staff to ensure guest needs are met, building and immediate grounds stay clean and well kept, and supplies for guests are accessible.
Ø Provide general oversight of facility including coordination with maintenance department and reporting any emergency situations.
Ø Assist Sr. Director of Operations with administrative tasks to support SVDP operations.
Ø Conduct frequent inspections of the building and immediate grounds to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and fire standards.
Ø Oversee general condition of buildings and equipment along with its upkeep and maintenance.
Ø Maintain an adequate supply inventory and the approval of all necessary work orders.
Ø Maintain accurate and thorough records and reports for the program, including client sign-in sheets.
Ø Identify and build community partnerships to optimize effective and efficient delivery of resources for potential visitors.
Ø Identify, communicate and assist in the facilitation of volunteer opportunities.
Ø Provide Sr. Director of Operations with assistance in the development of policies, reports and procedures related to the provision of services to the public.
Ø Coordinate and accompany guests in participating in life-enriching activities at the drop-in center.
Ø Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.

Ø Maintain cooperative relations with community groups and other public and private agencies
Ø Speak effectively and provide clear and concise written reports
Ø Excellent organizational skills including planning, reporting and computer skills
Reporting to this position: 1 Program Aides
Education, Qualifications, Certifications, Trainings, Licenses:
Ø High School Diploma or GED
Ø The ability to lead, train, motivate and inspire others
Ø Knowledge and training in working with homeless, chemical dependency, mental illness and crisis intervention techniques
Ø Relevant work experience leading individuals in a social work environment or related field
Ø Experience in managerial or project management role
Ø Commitment to the mission and goals of St Vincent de Paul
Ø Successfully pass any required pre-employment background and drug screening
