Position Summary:
St Vincent de Paul seeks a Cashier to contribute to the Agency’s mission by performing regular duties and responsibilities: Greeting and assisting customers, answering questions, operating cash register, opening & closing the Store, helping with pricing and sale of donated merchandise. This position is located at 4420 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40216.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Greet customers in a courteous manner.
Ø Operate cash register.
Ø Assist with opening and closing of the Store.
Ø Perform daily duties as directed to keep Store clean and orderly
Ø Performs other duties as assigned
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ø Ability to communicate with and assist customers, volunteers, and donors
Ø Excellent people skills
Ø Ability to operate a cash register
Ø Ability to stand and walk/remain on feet for long periods of time (essential to the job)
Ø Commitment to the Mission and goals of St Vincent de Paul
- High School diploma/GED
- A combination of education, training, and experience that results in demonstrated proficiency to perform the work may be substituted
- Successfully pass required pre-employment background and drug screening
