Salary range: $90,000 - $100,000
Primary purpose:
Develops and manages professional career development programs and initiatives designed to serve the needs of SCCM’s members
Responsibilities:
I. Program development and management
- Designs, develops, and manages
- the execution of the membership's career development programs and initiatives such as mentorship programs, certification courses, leadership training, and skill-building webcasts.
- Assesses the career development needs of members and develops programs to address those needs.
- Develops and coordinates industry-specific career resources to address the unique needs of members in different fields or career stages.
- Tracks
- and analyzes
- program participation and feedback, evaluating effectiveness and recommending improvements.
- Manages
- content development for newsletters, blogs, toolkits, and online platforms that support member career advancement.
- Launches and manages online career communities and networking opportunities.
II. Relationship management and collaboration
- Collaborates with various internal teams (e.g., marketing, communications) to promote professional development offerings and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Partners with membership manager to ensure that career development opportunities are integrated with member groups,
- Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with external partners, subject matter experts, and potential program providers.
- Acts as a key resource for colleagues with less experience, sharing expertise and providing guidance.
III. Strategy and planning
- Assists in strategic planning for professional development programs, aligning with the overall departmental and organizational strategic plan.
- Contributes to developing and implementing policies and procedures related to professional development.
IV. Management and supervision
- Supervises career development staff or consultants, as needed.
- Manages budgets, timelines, and evaluations of career-related programs.
- Contributes to grant writing and sponsorship efforts to fund career development initiatives.
- Manages program administration, delivery, and setup, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, or nonprofit management
- Minimum five years’ experience in career development, member services, learning and development, or a similar field, with a focus on professional growth programs
- Strong program design, implementation, and evaluation skills
- Strong understanding of mentorship, networking, and career development trends and best practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and building strong relationships
- Proficiency in relevant technologies, such as learning management systems and membership databases
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to organizational planning
