Bank in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking a Trade Finance VP for a full-time role!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and smooth operation of Trade Finance business
- Take proactive responsibility for preventing compliance and other risks in Trade Finance business as the 1st Line of Defense.
- Input or counter-checking the documents for bills operation. Perform technical review of Letter of Credit.
- Execute the relevant daily verification and authorization activities in GDMS for the trade service transactions processed by the Trade Services Clerk.
- End of day-Ensure that all trade transactions in GDMS have been duly authorized and completed and all SWIFT messages have been duly sent out.
- Obey and follow the international trade regulations and compliance standards
- Review, or counter-checking the SBLC templates. Perform technical review and document examination of Letter of Credit to ensure strict compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years experience in trade finance or related banking operations functions
- Familiar with various related International Practices: “Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits 600”; “International Standby Practices ISP98” & URDG 758; “ICC Uniform Rules for Collections (522)”; “URR 725”, etc.
- Experienced in handling and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Experienced in problem identification and solving.
- Familiar and experience with MS Office system (especially PPT, Excel, Word, etc.)
Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
