BSA/AML Analyst – High-Risk Banking
A rapidly growing financial technology company is seeking a BSA/AML Analyst to join its compliance team. This role is ideal for an experienced financial crimes professional with expertise in high-risk banking environments, complex investigations, and regulatory compliance. You'll play a key role in supporting AML programs, conducting investigations, and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance
Responsibilities:
- Investigate AML alerts and suspicious activity across high-risk customer portfolios.
- Conduct customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing account monitoring.
- Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in accordance with FinCEN guidance and applicable regulations.
- Support the development and enhancement of transaction monitoring rules and financial crime detection scenarios.
- Manage customer onboarding, beneficial ownership reviews, and ongoing risk assessments.
- Perform periodic account reviews, analyzing transaction activity, cash flows, and customer behavior.
- Assist with regulatory examinations, internal audits, and external compliance revie
- Investigate OFAC, PEP, adverse media, and other financial crime-related alerts.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of BSA/AML compliance experience within banking, fintech, or another highly regulated financial environment.
- Experience conducting complex AML investigations and preparing SARs.
- Strong understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), FinCEN guidance, and financial crime regulations.
- Experience with AML transaction monitoring systems such as Abrigo BAM , Actimize, Verafin, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of customer due diligence, beneficial ownership requirements, sanctions screening, and ongoing monitoring.
- CAMS certification is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
