Role:
- We are seeking a highly motivated Local Election Expert with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including involvement in at least one full presidential election cycle. This individual must possess a deep passion for democracy and a strong commitment to supporting local election administrators in successfully executing elections.
- Key requirements include proven expertise in managing local election operations, specifically:
- Recruiting, training, and scheduling poll workers.
- Effectively communicating with election staff.
- Managing election open and close procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of election night documentation to ensure closing procedures are strictly followed for maintaining election integrity.
Note: This role requires hands-on experience and prior election experience is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Training & Demonstrations:
- Conduct training classes to train local and state election officials for Soch’s products
- Demonstrate Soch’s products to both current and potential users
- Create and maintain training materials such as power point presentations, video tutorials and other methods
- Attend seminars, webinars, and other election related events
- Travel to conferences and onsite election office visits
- Plan and complete assigned work, communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Motivated and comfortable working with people; quickly adapt to new technical environments
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; creative thinking
Outreach:
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential customers
- Strong communication skills needed to demonstrate products and services offered by Soch
- Outreach via email, phone, social media, conferences and onsite election office visits
- You must be a quick learner to learn the products and services offered by Soch
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
A successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in elections
- Must have experience and knowledge of recruitment and retention strategies for poll workers, organizing and conducting training for poll workers and scheduling poll workers to work during early voting or on election day.
- Experience working at the polls, a thorough knowledge of inventory management of voting systems and pollbooks
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups
- Ability to work / collaborate with a team
- Strong work ethic with ability to self-manage workload and deliverables
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and very good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using word, excel, pdf, computer/laptop and online applications
Required Experience:
- Overall experience as a Trainer: 5 years (Required)
- Elections Experience: 10 years (Required)
- Poll Worker Management : 5 years (Required)
- Voting Machines Management: 1 year (Good to have)
