Position Summary
- Under the supervision of the Front Desk Supervisor, provide information to guests on a wide variety of subjects. Assist guests, fellow team members, and visitors with any reasonable request or need that will make their overall experience a memorable one to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- Greet guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Keep in contact with the Front Desk Supervisor and Manager to know the same-day selling strategy of the resort at all times.
- Work closely with the Players Club and Casino Hosts and, process gaming comps/points as needed.
- Make contact with resort guests via courtesy calls to offer concierge services and ensure guest satisfaction daily.
- Check trace report each day for any upcoming special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc., and place appropriate greeting cards in the room prior to guest arrival.
- Provide information on the resort and its` services in the most intimate of details; provide information on the surrounding community. Conduct resort tours as scheduled.
- Utilize all necessary hotel computer programs utilized by the Front Desk team members.
- Assist front desk and bell stand at peak times to ensure a smooth check-in and check-out for VIP guests, pre-registered guests, and bus patrons. Assist all other guests as requested by management.
- Maintain and clean the desk area to ensure a professional appearance.
- Oversee the Business Center to ensure the equipment is functioning properly and supplies are stocked.
- Process all guest amenity orders in a timely manner; communicate the details with each appropriate department personnel. Amenity orders may include decorating guest rooms for special occasions.
- Remain easily accessible to guests. Maintain a high level of visibility in the lobby which includes scheduled lobby time to greet guests and answer questions and inquiries.
- Provide a warm-welcomed greeting to all bus groups upon arrival; explain all pertinent resort and casino information to bus patrons before they enter the resort.
- Make every attempt to follow through on any guest requests that may or may not be part of the concierge job duties.
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

- Contact with guests to assure their stay meets world-class standards.
- Contact with front desk supervisor and manager to communicate day-to-day operational needs.
- Contact with the IT Department and Front Desk Management regarding any concerns that may arise within the Business Center.
- Contact with the Bell team members involving changes that may affect the bus group rooming list and luggage deliveries.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One year customer service and cash handling experience.
- Must be able to pass a typing test of at least 20 wpm.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.
- Hotel front office operations experience.
- Must have a valid State of Michigan Driver`s License, with the proper designation required for the vehicle utilized to perform the job duties and qualify for coverage by SCIT auto liability insurance carrier. A Tribal Driver`s License will also be required if a Motor Pool Vehicle is used in the course and scope of the required job duties.
- Native American preference shall apply to all positions.

- Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer operation.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.

- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Work is generally performed in a Hotel setting.
- Frequent walking and standing in a smoking environment and contact with the general public. Constant visual stimulation via neon lights on slot machines, repeatedly changing machine video screens, static or flashing signs throughout the casino, and constant machine and crowd noise.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts required.
- Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
