Under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher , the Classroom Aide provides instructional, behavioral, and possible clerical support in a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and/or Kindergarten classroom. The Classroom Aide assists in creating a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment while supporting students' academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who enjoy working with young children and are committed to supporting student success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Student Support Assist the teacher with daily classroom activities and instruction. Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce lessons and learning objectives. Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social skills. Assist students with transitions between activities. Help supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, assemblies, and field trips. Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to promote student confidence and independence. Support students in developing self-help and organizational skills. Classroom Support Prepare instructional materials, learning centers, and classroom displays. Organize and maintain classroom supplies and equipment. Assist with setting up and cleaning learning activities. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Assist with attendance records and routine clerical tasks as assigned. Operate basic office equipment including copier, laminator, and computer. Safety and Supervision Maintain active supervision of students at all times. Follow all school safety procedures and emergency protocols. Assist with arrival, dismissal, playground, cafeteria, and other assigned supervision duties.
